Aunty Raylene from work surprised us with really cute Christmas presents for the pups; Rafa and Charlotte had a great time modeling them this morning.

Charlotte loves her new lady bug outfit!

Rafa likes to bite off his ducky shoes, but he looks really cute them them on! We just have to figure out a way for him to keep his slippers on!

Rafa spends a lot of time on our couch. He likes to watch PTI and American Idol with us and take long naps with his brother, sister and favorite sheepie.

Rafa got his big boy bath today! He’s been getting his baths in the sink, but has now gotten too big and advanced to the bathtub! He did not like his bath.

Charlotte went into heat before we could fix her, so we made modified doggie diapers out of Little Swimmers!

Everyone loves the Nylabone, the blue everlasting dog treat, and the hoof. It’s a constant struggle to keep them from fighting over their toys.

This year, Jonathan’s parents visited us in Hawaii. We had a great time eating and playing tourist. We took the family out to dinner at Asia Manoa, one of our favorite Chinese joints in Hawaii.

Everything was fresh and tasty (especially the seafood in taro basket- yum!), and we all enjoyed each other’s company.

Before New Year’s day, we made mochi at mom and dad’s. We have a mochi making machine, so we don’t pound it by hand, but we still form each individual mochi. Here’s a picture of our assembly line…

Our finished produce. These are for the ozoni for New Year’s Day….

And a picture of our kasane in our living room.

Mom and Dad Ping got to experience the day after Christmas Oahu island-wide blackout. Mom Ping made rice on our gas grill, and we enjoyed a nice meal by candle-light.

On New Year’s eve, we popped fire crackers at Julie and Grant’s. Crystal learned new cheers from Janell.

I think the cheers with sparklers are a nice touch…

And the puppies enjoyed watching the fire works from a distance. We had a great view of the illegal fireworks in our neighborhood. It was like our own personal 2 hour long 4th of July fireworks show!

We got a package in the mail the other day from our friends, the Colianni’s , filled with yummy Minnesota treats. After taking pictures with the goodies, we promptly devoured our munchies. The caramels and soy nuts were delicious and didn’t last very long! Thanks!
